EA Sports has announced that it will release the demo for FIFA 14 on September 10 for PC, Xbox 360 and North American PlayStation 3 users while European PS3 gamers will have to wait until the 11th of September.

FIFA developer David Rutter detailed the new co-op mode at Gamescom today in which players will join friends online against two other opponents in 2v2 ranked online play. Teams will have the ability to climb up to division one as the season progresses.

Match Day mode has expanded to Seasons and Co-op Seasons, meaning that players will be connected to the real world games more closely. Injuries, suspensions and player form changes throughout the season will all have real effects within the game.

Next-gen versions of the game - those for PS4 and Xbox One - will benefit from a new engine, dubbed Ignite, which offers new tactical features like better corner kick player views as well as some not so tactical "emotional pre-match ceremonies" whatever the hell that means.

We're looking forward to the demo and getting a head start on dominating in co-op. FIFA 14 demo is out in North America on September 10 and the full game drops September 27.
