Here's a message to all residents of Fairfield, Conn.: Your power going out does not warrant a 911 call. The Fairfield Police Department reportedly received "numerous" 911 calls last night regarding a cable outage that struck some areas in southwestern Connecticut. Per the department's Facebook page, this situation was "neither an emergency or a police related concern," which is something people shouldn't have to be reminded of.

According to the Associated Press, Cablevision explained that there was an outage at its facility in Norwalk. Service was restored after 11 p.m., but Sunday night television was still runed for a few hours. That's why networks replay shows, folks.
