The summer drought is almost over and August, with its barren waste of playable titles, will soon be far behind us. Destiny is looking to be the frontrunner for single-handedly destroying whatever shred of a social life I'm still fooling myself I have. The sheer vastness behind this project is only part of why this game looks so sick. 

Multiple planets, open social instances, a redesigned approach to the idea of what an MMO can be, and millions of pounds of loot are all making this title look like Thanksgiving and 4th of July are hooking up to make a holiday baby.
