It’s been a long time since Panzer Dragoon, but it appears that time hasn’t slowed down director Yukio Futatsugi, who is bringing what’s essentially a spiritual successor to the Saturn’s famous dragon-riding on-rails shooter to the Xbox One.
While Crimson Dragon has had something of a rough past – it was originally going to be developed as a Kinect-only game for the Xbox 360 before controller support was added and it was bumped to the Xbox One – if this trailer is anything to go by, fans can probably expect very similar gameplay, or something of a modern adaptation of such when it hits during Xbox One’s launch.
Whether a new generation will take to this decidedly old-school looking shooter is another story, but you’d be hard-pressed to say that the game isn’t looking damn slick. Enjoy.
