In today's age, money is always the motive. You best believe multi-billion dollar corporations like Burger King have employed some of the world's most creative and business-savvy professionals to devise strategies that will sell more product and reel in even more customers. Fast food chains and junk food brands, in a desperate attempt to lure in more hungry mouths, have even started directing their marketing schemes towards America's marijuana-inclined communities.
Sometimes, however, even the most competent brand strategists make colossal mistakes, resulting in the release of some of the world's most distasteful advertisements. From Carl's Jr.'s bold Kate Upton commercials to racist ads that make you shake your head in disbelief (we're looking at you, KFC), here are 25 completely inappropriate booze and food ads that make you wonder, "What the hell were they thinking?"

Kate Upton for Carl's Jr. & Hardee's
Yes, this is a sexy ad. Compared to some other crude and racist images, this Kate Upton commercial shot for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's is hardly an offender. Considering Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are family restaurants, though, this was a pretty risky move.
