Don't bring your small children to see Maleficent. The series may be based on the fan favorite Sleeping Beauty villain, but director Robert Stromberg's film as told by the villainess' POV is far from Disneyfied. Speaking at Disney's D23 fan convention in Anaheim, Angelina Jolie told fans that she's actually scared of the children who visited the set.
Jolie told the panel: “But It has to be from the point of view of the villain, so as beautiful as it was it also needed the edge, and to be a little sexy and little darker.” Sounds like it could be the next winning, fractured fairytale. They also screened a clip, which we're sure will hit the net soon enough. We can't wait.
