Today, United States and Australian authorities annouced that they had removed 750 kilos of cocaine from the engine compartment of a yacht travelling in Vanuatu earlier this week. The estimated value of drugs is $330 million.
Since 2010, the DEA has collaborated with the Australian Federal Police and various South Pacific governments to prevent organized crime rings from moving cocaine into Australia from South America.
No arrests have been made.
