Young Cancer Patient Asks for Pizza, Reddit Responds

There are good people in this world.

This is yet another testament to the power of the Internet.

When a Reddit user saw a non-serious post from the family of 2-year-old cancer patient Hazel Hammersley requesting that pizza be sent to her room at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, the site went above and beyond to help out. She has stage 3 neuroblastoma and is receiving chemotherapy treatment. Just minutes after the initial Reddit post, several pizza orders went out. Eventually, Hazel received so much pizza that the hospital had to write a post on their blog to stop the influx.

Hazel's mother, Lauren, thanked everyone for their generosity on the family's blog:

None

Hazel's family and the hospital expressed their appreciation for this abundance of kindness and hope it will help to spread awareness about childhood cancer.
