Trayvon Martin's Father Reacts to 'Not Guilty' Verdict via Twitter

George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges.

After a three week trial George Zimmerman, the 29-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer who shot Trayvon Martin, a  17-year-old black teenager in February 2012, was found not guilty. Zimmerman, who is a Sanford, Florida resident, was acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges by a jury of six women. 

Martin's father, Tracy Martin, reacted to the news via Twitter. Distraught, but hopeful, he wrote:

Martin was unarmed at the time of death.
