The first half of 2013 built up a lot of promise.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 continue to play PR chess until they drop later this year, Nintendo is still exploring how best to capitalize on its Wii U, we still seethe with jealousy over everyone who has an Oculus Rift, and we still  have to figure out what the hell we are going to do with all these new Android consoles flooding the market.
