In case you've missed any of the biggest news stories of 2013 regarding EA's acquisition of the Star Wars property, or the E3 teaser trailer of Star Wars: Battlefront, there's more good news ahead.

According to EA Games Label president Frank Gibeau, the next installment of the series is, "well into development."

Gibeau elaborated on DICE's progress of the title during EA's fiscals outlook meeting for the year 2014.

"We showed 22 seconds of where we're going with it and the fan response was very positive," commented Gibeau. "The DICE team is well into development on that product already, so we feel very bullish about our shooter rotation over the next several years."

There's still no release date for the title, but we do know that EA's Battlefront wil keep intact the series' ability to switch from first to third person.
