After breaking our hearts by leaving Saturday Night Live behind for good, Bill Hader finally has a new gig: Full-time staff writer at South Park for the show's upcoming 17th season. The news was revealed by the show's co-creator, Trey Parker, during last night's South Park: The Stick of Truth Comic-Con panel.

This news isn't particularly surprising, if you've ever watched Bill Hader swiveling in his chair in the South Park documentary, 6 Days to Air—Hader has been involved with the show for a long while now, first as a creative consultant in 2008, then as a producer in 2009. It was always his full-time role at SNL keeping him from joining the South Park writing staff, but now that he's left SNL, he's free to work on South Park. Hader reportedly just moved to LA for the gig.

Season 17 of South Park, now complete with Bill Hader, will begin airing on September 25th.
