Last Thursday, a freight train carrying trash out of New York Cityderailed in the Bronx. Metro-North was left with no choice but to suspend service to its Hudson Line while the mess was cleaned and the rail was repaired. According to the MTA, service has been restored:
None
The MTA explained the derailment, but still advised commuters to expect delays:
None
Marjorie Anders, spokeswoman for the agency, called it "by far the worst derailment I'd ever seen on Metro-North’s history." The NTSB is still investigating the derailment, but for now, let's just be happy the Hudson Line is operational again.
