While many Scotch drinkers like theirs neat, on the rocks, or with a splash of soda, there are indeed some incredible craft cocktails that feature Scotch as their root ingredient. Here we take a look at 5 of the classics, which can be totally reinvented with the infused natural flavors of Dewar's Highlander Honey.

With the same great characteristics of Dewar's iconic White Label, Dewar's Highlander Honey infuses Scottish honey that's harvested near the Dewar's distillery in Aberfeldy, Scotland. The result is an incredible flavor the combines the sweetness of honey and the bite of 80,000 bees.

The beauty of all these cocktails is how simple they are to make; like a good steak, the key ingredient is the star. Take a look, enjoy, and always drink responsibly.

1. THE GODFATHER
Make them a cocktail they can't refuse. This gem is so good, it can be featured as both an aperitif and an after-dinner drink. Start by putting some ice into an old-fashioned glass. Combine 1 1/2 oz. of Dewar's Highlander Honey with 3/4 oz of amaretto almond liqueur, then serve.

2. RUSTY NAIL
This mainstay packs a piercing punch without requiring a tetanus shot. Grab an old-fashioned glass and throw in some ice cubes. Then add 2 oz. of of Dewar's Highlander Honey and 1/2 oz. of Drambuie (feel free to add slightly more Drambuie to taste).

3. PENICILLIN
Like its miracle drug namesake, this classic craft cocktail is good for what ails you. The best part is that using Dewar's Highlander Honey eliminates the need to add the cocktail's requisite honey syrup, as the honey has already been infused.

Grab your shaker and muddle 3 slices of fresh ginger in the bottom until it's pretty well mashed up. Add 2 oz. of of Dewar's Highlander Honey and 3/4 oz. of fresh lemon juice, then shake well with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over ice, and finish by slowly pouring over (or spritzing, if you have a small spray bottle) 1/4 oz. of Dewar's White Label.

4. ROB ROY
Named for the Scottish folk hero Robert Roy MacGregor (and not the rather snoozy film based on his life), this cocktail brings a Scottish flair to the classic Manhattan (which traditionally uses Rye whisky). Put some ice in your shaker, then pour in 1 1/2 oz. of Dewar's Highlander Honey and 1/4 oz. sweet vermouth. Add a few dashes of bitters, then shake steadily. Pour into a cocktail glass (aka martini glass) and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

5. McDUFF
Named for the man who brought down the title character of Shakespeare's "Scottish Play," the Dewar's Highlander Honey remix of this old favorite combines the delicious taste of honey with the crisp citrus of oranges. Take your shaker with ice and pour in 1 1/2 oz. of Dewar's Highlander Honey. Add 1/2 oz. of your favorite orange liqueur and a couple dashes of bitters. Shake well and pour into a cocktail glass, then garnish with an orange slice. It is honey-soaked citrusy bliss.
