5 Lessons Learned on Last Night's "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" (Season 2, Episode 11)

I’ve long been creeped out by the Puerto Rican princess, Joseline Hernandez, referring to Stevie J as “daddy” every other second on TV and in damn near every tweet and Instagram caption she’s ever written. What you call your significant other in the bedroom is your business, but when you refer to that person as “mommy” or “daddy” outside of that situation, you’re weird as hell. Now that Joseline's confirmed where that comes from, her daddy issues are way less entertaining when you realize that she wants them to put a ring on it.

Joseline, Stevie isn’t going to marry you, and even if he did, he’d be playing the role of Ike Turner. Do yourself a favor and use some of that money you get for spending an hour in the club while sipping free top-shelf liquor and order yourself some good old-fashioned therapy. 

It was hard to watch Scrappy explain to his daughter on national television that he might be going to jail for the third time. I’d rather not offend the guy behind “Head Bussa,” but Erica was right when she said, “I need Scrappy to understand that your lifestyle is affecting your family.” As in, stop making the same mistakes that land you in jail and have your baby mama playing double duty. If you have kin on the "can’t get right" plan for life, you appreciated Erica telling Scrappy to get his life together.

Traci Steele's mission in life is to remind us all to let go of that no good sum'bitch we're all stuck on. After playing her again and again—and, mind you, we just met these fools a few episodes ago—suddenly Drew wanted to try and win her back after spotting her with a new dude.

Ladies, if you aren’t familiar, that’s trife man code for, “I just want to see if I can still win you back, and once I prove that I can, I’m going to toss you back in the trash.” Traci didn’t bite, so good for her. However, anyone else tired of these two? 

Kirk Frost is another interesting example of how desperate some people are to attain the sort of cheap fame reality television provides, and by any means necessary. Regardless of whether or not you have marital problems, do you really want to be known as the person who cheats on his pregnant wife at Coochie Cabin with Benzino and Bobby V? Is being known for something that important to you?

Worse, Kirk said, "I'm tired of raising my kids." Dude, they’re going to see all of this one day. For his sake, I hope he’s some kind of vegan who runs marathons regularly because if he falls into bad health later in life, these are all offenses worthy of being sent to Shady Pines. Furthermore, Kirk, aren’t you close to AARP membership age range? How can you still be looking for yourself? Do you need a flashlight, homeboy?

I can’t help but feel awful for Rasheeda. Besides that five-person baby shower she had that included only about three-and-a-half people she actually likes, she has to sit at home and watch her husband humiliate her.

With all due respect to the production staff, is someone in the control room going to say, “I don’t think audiences give that great a damn about Shay’s problems”? The same goes for Kirk and Benzino playing the roles of Barney and Baby Bop in a Sons of Anarchy fantasy scene. Likewise for Traci’s no good baby daddy, Drew, and his Foot Locker dreams. I know every show could stand for new faces and spins, but most of us are here for Joseline, Stevie, and K Michelle. Right after that is Erica and her model-esque looks, the ex-pimp Momma Dee, and her son Scrappy. The others are expendable. Keep that in mind for season three, ya feel me?
