The Color Gray offers a different take on the adventure game formula, doing away with one of the least satisfying parts, the puzzles.

In The Color Gray, the upcoming sci-fi adventure game, puzzles have been replaced by morally gray choices, which greatly affect the story and the characters. Chris Savory of December Studios explains, "We felt that the puzzles would actually break the immersion. Frustration would set in, or even worse, we'd get stuck and stop playing. Could we remove these puzzles and still create an interesting experience? We thought we'd try."

While some of the choices in the trailer seem pretty extreme, say shooting a homeless guy in the street seems pretty straight forward and would definitely put you in the evil camp in our book, the fact that option exists seem pretty interesting.

The Color Gray is set to release August 2013
