Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage are two of the coolest guys on television. They're both smart and gifted in the field of special effects—Hyneman, in fact, was an animatronics technician on the movie Flubber. Despite making the dreams of Robin Williams come trume, they’re also responsible for the most thorough exploration of skepticism on television.

Where would we be without the MythBusters episode where they proved that MacGyver was a phony, or the episode in which Savage singed off his eyebrow trying to figure out if the myth that cell phones shouldn’t be used at gas stations was true? We don’t know, and we don’t want to know.

They’re also directly responsible for a higher volume of explosions on cable television, and for that we can't thank them enough.
