It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything new from Ace Combat’s long-time developer Project Aces, but from the teaser for Ace Combat Infinity it looks like they’ve regained some of their composure after the weird departure that Assault Horizon.
That’s a good thing. Here we get glimpses of everything you might want from an Ace Combat game: sci-fi weaponry, high-tech weapon relay screens, giggling anime girls. (The series has sort of aped an anime melodrama since the PS2 era.) The game also looks gorgeous, from the little footage there is. Could they make more realistic looking landscapes?
Infinity is coming exclusively to the PS3, probably because about three people in Japan own Xbox 360s.
