Downton Abbey is one of the whitest shows on television—not that there was much racial diversity in Edwardian England—so it was extra-hilarious when Diddy did a spoof of the period drama on Funny or Die. The music mogul starred as Lord Wolcott, the new master of Downton alongside Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) and the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith).

It all started with a Twitter hoax that suggested Diddy was set to guest star on Downton Abbey. He wasn't, but it gave him the idea for the Funny or Die video. Now, the whole thing might become a self-fulfilling prophecy! “I loved that, I thought it was fabulous,” creator Julian Fellowes said. “I absolutely adored it, but I just couldn’t see how he could have done it.”

Downton will be adding its first black character this season with jazz singer Jack Ross, played by Gary Carr. Fellowes also hinted that Diddy may make a cameo yet. “I’d never says never, though I imagine he’d steal the scene, even if it was a small part," Fellowes said. That we definitely believe.
