Release: Sometime in 2014

Virtual Reality isn't a new concept. Since the 1990s technology companies have been trying to nail down how to successfully bring VR to the masses without it looking cheesy or having to make gamers buy tons of gear to make it happen. The Oculus Rift is on a steady pace to be the golden child of total immersive gameplay.

The Oculus Rift isn't something that's easy to explain--it's something that has to be experienced in order to understand. When we got to test it out, we were completely blown away and more so disappointed that we'll have to wait months before a version is ready to go public. The good news is that video game developers are lined up to make their upcoming titles compatible and are giving the makers of the Oculus Rift valuable feedback to help it win.
