A man accused of rape in Utah is claiming that he was being a Good Samaritan. Rodger William Kelly of St. George says that he found his neighbor lying unconscious outside of her apartment back on May 19, so he took her inside. After changing her clothes and placing her on the bed, he says he tried having sex with her to raise her body temperature.
Though it still isn't clear who called the police, they arrived to find the 50-year-old Kelly performing CPR on the woman. When the 29-year-old finally woke up, she told authorities she thought she had been raped because her upper thighs were bruised. Kelly claims that he and the woman have been intimate in the past, but she's since ended their sexual relationship.
He was arrested last week and charged with first-degree rape.
