Up until now, it's been hard to recognize Larry David in any of the promotional material for his upcoming HBO film Clear History: With a crazy shoulder-length wig and a beard nearly as long, David looks the exact opposite of how we're used to seeing him on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Really, it's slightly unnerving, we're not used to seeing him like this!

Good news, though: Judging by this first full-length trailer for the film, it seems that David won't actually look so different from the way he normally looks for a good bulk of the film. As for the plot, it looks so promising that it almost makes it OK that we haven't had any new Curb episodes since 2011—he's basically the same old Larry David for the majority of the film anyway.

In the film, David portrays "a hipster marketing exec" in California who gets in a fight with his boss (Jon Hamm) and sells all of his stocks after the two disagree on the name of an electric car the company is developing, only to miss out when the car sells insanely well and makes everyone in the company very rich. Looking to escape the massive amounts of shame that follow, David's character changes his name, and moves to a small Massachusetts island. Things go OK until his boss ends up coincidentally moving there as well a while later. Hilarity ensues.

In addition to David and Hamm, Bill Hader, Michael Keaton, Amy Ryan, Eva Mendes, and Danny McBride also star. The film is set to premiere on HBO on August 10th. As for Curb—no official word on when we'll have new episodes of that, but one thing at a time.
