Two days ago, graphic designer Cameron Booth blasted Naughty Dog via social media for using his map of the Boston MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority) in their new video game The Last of Us without permission.

According to Booth's Twitter timeline, he had no idea that his map was in the game until another user sent it to him sparking outrage from both him and his Twitter followers.

Booth then called out Naughty Dog and posted what he now calls a "vitriolic post" on his Tumblr page which started to gain attention from the video games media like bossdungeon.com, vividgamer.comKotaku and others.

As of the time of this writing, Cameron Booth announced via Twitter and Tumblr that Naughty Dog has contacted him and they are working on a resolution. Booth has since removed the original Tumblr post and replaced it with and update on the situation.

"UPDATE, TUESDAY JUNE 25, 1:00pm: I’ve just spoken with Naughty Dog over the phone in a very constructive conversation. Can’t say more at the moment, but it seems as if matters will be resolved to everyone’s satisfaction shortly. I can say that they do acknowledge their error in using my map and were very apologetic for it. I likewise apologised for my initial vitriolic post. A lot of mutual respect for each other’s creative work.

It’s been a hell of a last couple of days: thanks for the support from many, and the interesting and varied comments from most.

Hopefully, back to regularly scheduled Transit Maps content soon!"
