School officials in Irving, TX are currently looking into how a yearbook caption featuring an offensive name made its way into the final printed version. This year's Irving High School yearbook contains the words "Ugly Hoe" in place of a cheerleader's name beneath a photo of the squad. A spokesman for the school district says the caption was most likely changed between the time the final version was approved by editors and printed. According to the district, 300 books were printed, but only about a dozen were handed out before the derogatory comment was noticed.

The school district says that it's just a matter of time before they figure out who is responsible. Once the culprit is identified, their actions will be met with extreme severity. Meanwhile, the district will figure out a cost-effective way to remedy the situation
