T-Mobile announced today that they will be the official carrier for Sony’s Xperia Z in the upcoming weeks.

Sony has been improving their product line and getting more support from the U.S. for its devices in the last few months. With the Xperia Z, they created a stylish, sleek and durable physical design with remarkable technology. The smartphone has functions designed to improve the quality of photo and videos, as well as battery time by automatically shutting down battery-draining apps when the screen is off. However, it's most famous function is the fact that this smartphone is completely waterproof.

This sophisticated Android has "5-inch 1080p ‘Reality Display,’ Snapdragon’s 1.5GHz quad-core S4 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera capable of capturing HDR video with the help of its Exmor RS image senor.” The phone comes in either a black or a limited edition purple finish.

The Xperia Z will be available on T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plan with no annual service contract, unlimited talk, text and Web on a nationwide 4G LTE network. Pricing and preorder information has not been announced yet but you can sign up to get more information on the T-Mobile website.
