Report: Instagram Will Get Video on June 20

The micro-video wars are going all out.

It might be time to say bye to Vine.

According to reports, Instagram will be getting video, with Facebook set to unveil the new feature at a secretive press event they've called for June 20th. Sources say that Instagram will let people take videos of about 10 seconds in length, four seconds longer than they can with Twitter's Vine. This would be a very smart move from Facebook: Vine's popularity has been on the rise, but instead of creating a whole new app as Twitter did with Vine, Facebook is simply tapping into the gigantic user base of over 100 million users who already have Instagram. Think about it, for those of you who haven't used Vine yet, wouldn't you be more inclined to use it if it were just another feature of Twitter, rather than another app?

Tune back in June 20th for more details about the event.
