You will deliver packages to empty desks and leave them unattended as you slowly back away and hope you left it in the right place. Besides, the secretary is on vacation too, so you have no one to leave the parcel with. Email after email will bounce back to you with an "out of the office" error message. When your boss goes on a mini-vacation every three weeks or so, they will claim they are "working remotely," which will just result in vague, angry emails about how slow their Internet is every other day.
