On Monday night, an NYPD officer was arrested at his Coney Island home for allegedly attacking his wife because she broke the remote control. The NYPD says that 32-year-old Aleksandr Galper hurled several objects at his wife during a drunken tirade that began because of the broken device. A source close to police says that Galper yelled at the woman: "You b-tch, you broke the remote control! You owe me money, so get me a new one!"

Galper also reportedly knocked over a bookshelf, spat in her face and threw perfume bottles and vases at his wife—luckily, he missed. Galper knocked over a glass bookshelf and his wife was reportedly injured by a shard before locking herself in the bedroom until authorities arrived. Galper was charged with menacing, harassment, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
