Developers Ninja Theory and Concept set out to take the Ninja Gaiden series in a whole new direction and judging by this trailer the future looks bright and bloody.
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z starts off with Yaiba, the hero of the series, being cut down only to be later resurrected as a red-eyed vengeance-fueled, and not to mention half robot ninja assassin. With beautiful cell shading and merciless combat Yaiba can be compared to a Quentin Tarantino Film in that you know exactly what you're going to get.
This prologue and bit of gameplay feature the robotic Yaiba mowing down hordes of undead with crazy freeze-frame kills and stylized cinematic moments.
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z drops for PS3 and Xbox360 early in 2014.
