5 Lessons Learned on Last Night's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" (Season 2, Episode 7)

God bless the mamas of the world, but there’s something about Momma Dee that screams “I’d breastfeed my son in my 30s if I could.” The Prince of the South and heir to Momma Dee’s magical jungle kingdom not only finally noticed this, but opted to speak up about it. That is, following a conversation with his preacher pappy. While Scrappy may have needed a little push to get the conversation started, respect to the man for finally telling his mama to chill on her involvement in his relationships.

Bonus points for him telling Momma Dee, “You ain’t like the other mamas, you is crazy, know what I’m saying?”  

If there is a contest between reality TV husbands to see who has lived the longest without a soul, top honors will certainly go out to Kirk. Not at all thrilled with his wife’s pregnancy, Kirk told Rasheeda that he feels her pregnancy was done out of spite. According to him, “[it’s]almost feel like it’s spiteful…like you pretty much did it on purpose and that’s how I really feel.” Worse, he noted in a not so subtle way about abortion: “There’s ways around it.” To him, “I know it don’t sound right, but Rasheeda is a brand in the business.”

Who knew? Meanwhile, Kirk brought his drama over to new BFF Benzino’s house, which was filmed with strippers and fledgling R&B singers in celebration. While Benzino didn’t care for Kirk bringing abortion chatter to a party, he schooled him on the perils of the pullout method and the rudeness of telling your wife to get an abortion, and asked to be the godfather of the child Kirk doesn’t want. 

No offense to the artist formally known as Buckeey, but Shay seems to be operating under the unfortunate impression that she’s been wronged by Lil’ Scrappy’s baby mama. Why? Your guess is as good as ours, but we do have some advice for the veteran VH1 reality star: Get over it. Erica didn’t hurt you, Scrappy did. Erica didn’t take anything from you considering it was never yours. Also, if it’s true that Erica beat the bad wig off Shay, the shade thrown on this episode helped set the path towards it.

“I’m usually the one hustling, not the one getting hustled,” said Chris Brown’s DJ and father of Traci’s son, Drew. The man handed over $50,000—half of which was given to him begrudgingly by Traci—to a guy who he claimed to only have a verbal contract with. And surprise, surprise, the man turned out to be a con artist. So not only was Drew scammed, he was cheated out of tens of thousands on national TV, and ended up getting verbally backhanded by an ex who already convinced us that the dude wasn’t worth a diddly damn to her. Men, don’t be this person.

And since we’re on sucker moves, Karlie Redd, please cease and desist efforts to release a K. Michelle diss track. No one cares. 

K. Michelle has every right to think every single man with a penis that tilts to the left is gay, but she doesn’t necessarily have to shout it out from the mountain tops or throw out random accusations in radio interviews known for being spread all over the globe. And yet, that’s just what she did as it pertains to Mimi’s boyfriend, not Steebie J aka Nikko. When confronted with this reality, K. Michelle showed no mercy and got even nastier with her so-called friend.

In response, Mimi highlighted that she didn’t have a man, resulting in K. Michelle swinging on her with a bouquet of cheap flowers. Mimi just stood there, looking as if the second security stepped out of the way she was going to knock the pint-size singer with the big backside and even larger mouth all the way back to Memphis.

As entertaining as K. Michelle is, you don’t pull sneak moves on people and scurry away as if nothing happened. It’s probably for the best that she’s reportedly leaving the show because the next time she tries that, she might end up tasting the ground. Love your new single, though, K.
