Olive Garden to Open First Hawaii Location

A long time coming.

None

Olive Garden has announced early plans to open its first location in Hawaii, reaching an agreement with Oahu's Kapolei Commons. The restaurant wants to use some of the 700,000-square-foot location to set up shop, and has plans to establish additional locations, such as one in Waikiki. The demand for an Olive Garden has been high in Hawaii, as it topped a consumer list of the most-wanted restaurants not currently available.

Still, there's no timetable for when Olive Garden will grace Hawaii with its first location. Spokeswoman Tara Gray told Pacific Business News that the company has no specific plans at the moment, and won't until they've received all of the approval required.
