Glee has only been on for four seasons, but as is the trouble with shows about high school students, high school only lasts four years. Many of the characters that made us love Glee have graduated and gone on to bigger and better things.

A few managed to stick around at McKinley High, but it looks like they'll soon be out of the spotlight, too. Original cast members Heather Morris (Brittany), Mark Salling (Puck), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike), and Amber Riley have all been demoted from series regulars to guest stars. Dianna Agron (Quinn) is also out, but she wasn't a regular for season four, either.

Ryan Murphy has had success with new cast members in the past, especially Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet. There's no word on who will be promoted to a series regular or if new characters are coming to McKinley.

They've already ordered season six despite the fact that season five hasn't even aired. It premieres September 19 on Fox.

UPDATE: Melissa Benoist, Jacob Artist, and Becca Tobin have been promoted to series regulars.
