By today's standards, There's Something About Mary isn't all that shocking. Thirteen years ago, however, the Farrelly Brothers massive hit turned heads with its onslaught of vile humor and graphic bits (penis caught in a zipper, ejaculate in Cameron Diaz's hair). To their benefit, the filmmakers were smart enough to know that such unbridled filthiness would sink without any substance to pad it. Take out half of the film's nastier jokes and there'd still be a triumphant romantic comedy. But it's just so much funner seeing jizz in A-Rod's current girlfriend's coif, isn't it? Though that sounds like a personal problem.
