Chick-fil-A CEO Still Not Cool with Gay Marriage

Not very surprising.

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy isn't budging on his anti-gay marriage stance. He's entitled to his opinion, but it's probably not in him or the company's best interest for him to tweet about his position. Following the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to recognize same-sex marriages in states where they're legal, Cathy tweeted: "Sad day for our nation; founding fathers would be ashamed of our gen. to abandon wisdom of the ages re: cornerstone of strong societies."

The tweet was deleted by someone with better judgement, but it was spotted and captured. Chick-fil-A, which must have responses to situations like this on deck, went into cover-your-ass mode:

None

Cathy's unchanging views aren't surprising. However, his decision to voice them in the manner that he did on such a grand public platform is. Isn't he a little too seasoned for that?
