You can put a price on a good parking spot in Boston, and it's six figures. The IRS seized two tandem spots from a man who owed $600,000 in back taxes, so an auction was held where they were sold off to the higest bidder. Bidding got very high. Back Bay resident  Lisa Blumenthal ended up winning the spots, which were originally going for $42,000, but leaped to over $500,000 in just 15 minutes.

Blumenthal already owns a $5.8 million home and has a parking spot told the Boston Glove that she spent all of that money on parking for "guests and workers." Money is nothing to her, but she clearly cares about others.
