The follow-up to the flawed, but groundbreaking G1 (and, in spirit at least, to the short-lived Nexus One), the G2 benefitted from years of incremental advancements in both the Android platform and Google as a co-developer of hardware. It became the first phone on T-Mobile's new 4G network and flaunted prime features such a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Plus it ditched that awkward "chin" design we loathe from its predecessor.
