Lost in the furor of "Antennagate" was a handset that raised the bar on any number of fronts. The Retina Display was the best-ever screen on a mobile phone, FaceTime represented a genuine leap in mobile communication, and the new HDR camera remained, by many reports, best in class. Production standards were higher than ever, too, with front and back glass enclosures united by a brushed-steel band. And for the record, Jobs was wrong: Unless you grip your phone like the last ticket out of Kandahar, there's no wrong way to hold it.
