We Can't Get Enough: Netflix Streaming Takes up a Third of the Web Every Night

House of Cards is a killer.

None

When it comes to our primary destination for streaming content, it seems there is one clear winner: Netflix. The company owns a whopping 32.3 percent of internet traffic every night, with YouTube coming in at a not-so-close second at 17 percent, according to Sandvine. Amazon dropped from its 2012 number of 1.75 percent to 1.31 percent, and HBO from .5 percent to .34 percent, for the first half of 2013. Hulu gained some steam and bounced up from 1.1 percent to 2.41 percent.

Netflix only House of Cards has been a hit, and with the new season of Arrested Development around the corner, Netflix is bound to see a nice nump to its already growing base.
