Who you should bring with you: A cartograpy nerd. There's no HopStop on the unbeaten path.
What to pack: Get one of those fancy backpacks and get a dog tag made. You never know what can happen in those mountains.
The unspoiled land of the Georgian landscape makes the country a dream destination for the backpacking types. The majority of backpackers haven't explored the Caucasus region as much as other European terrain, which makes Georgia a great place for you to explore a path less travelled. Get around the region in minibuses called Marshrutkas and be taken to remote towns where the inhabitants are happy to welcome you into their homes and break bread with you.
