Tracy Morgan Is Getting His Own TV Show

Called Death Pact.

None

Welcome Tracy Morgan back to television, everyone. According to Vulture, the 30 Rock star has signed on to headline the new comedy Death Pact, which is being produced over at FX Network.

There isn't much information available just yet about the project—it's just been announced, after all—but it's synposis details that it'll focus on Morgan's character, a "formerly lazy, pot-dealing assistant high school coach, who returns to his hometown as a decorated war hero." When he comes across three "down-on-their-luck" friends and former students, he manages to convince them to buy into his new "radical" self-help philosophy, which "involves harsh consequences for failure." This is supposed to be a half-hour comedy, but the term 'harsh consequences' in conjunction with the title, Death Pact, does incite some worry. Hopefully hilariously, though!

The series will likely air on FX's new network, FXX, where it will be in good company with the likes of The League and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
