When asked about Tumblr's reputation for having a lot NSFW material (porn), and whether Yahoo had any plans of dealing with it, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer simply said: "Let Tumblr be Tumblr," and no, there are zero plans to take the material down once the keys are handed over to her company later this year. Mayer seems to be sticking to her guns when she said the company wasn't going to screw up the social media network during the acquisition.
During the Flickr press event last night, Mayer went on to say that it is important to have great community tools like 'NSFW' that Tumblr already has in place. So, essentially: don't fix what ain't broken.
