As it turns out, more than 100 million Facebook profiles aren't human: they're pets, objects or brands.

That's more than 10 percent of Facebook's reported users, which means only 889 million of Facebook's 1.11 billion monthly active users are real. CNN wrote in 2010 about the trend of people making profiles and writing as their pets. They found thousands of profile pages for dogs and cats, along with "less common pets such as birds, hamsters, ferrets, turtles, fish and rabbits."

It's literally raining cats and dogs in Facebookland. Do you know of anyone who has made a profile for their pet?
