It's good to encourage your kids to drive, but you should wait until they're somewhat close to an appropriate age to learn. Last weekend, 23-year-old Jaron McGee was arrested near Cleveland, OH after he decided it was the right time to give his 9-year-old daughter driving lessons. According to local authorities, McGee let the girl take complete control of the vehicle in the Headland's Stae Parking lot just after 8 p.m. She slammed straight into a tree.
Remarkably, neither McGee nor his daughter were injured, so they decided to flee. Police traced the vehicle to McGee's home, where he was arrested for wrongful entrustment and child endangerment. Worse for McGee, police discovered he had two outstanding warrants.
