A man on a scooter who thinks it's cool to ride a scooter in nothing but a thong and a cape whenever the weather is nice is notorious in Madison, WI. Oh, and he wears a helmet, too. His notoriety got him into a bit of a jam last week when he happened to pass John F. Kennedy Elementary School just as school let out. That means students on their way to the bus got a glimpse of "Thong Cape Scooter Man" in all of his glory.
Teachers called police, who visited the man's home to have a stern conversation with the man. After determining that he hadn't broken any laws, he was allowed to continue riding—just not in front of an elementary school.
