Luke Evans to Star in "The Crow" Reboot

Good luck with that one, Luke Evans.

We're not sure why Relativity Media would decide it was a good idea to reboot cursed movieThe Crow, but this is Hollywood so bad ideas are aplenty. According to Deadline, Fast & Furious 6 star Luke Evans has been cast in the lead role most famously held by late actor Brandon Lee, and production on the film is set to begin early next year.

The reboot is being directed by F. Javier Gutierrez. If you're not aware of the story behind the supposed Crow curse: Star Brandon Lee was killed during production of the 1994 movie when, while filming a scene, he was shot with a prop gun that was supposed to contain blanks.

Apparently, TomHiddleston, Alexander Skarsgård, and Bradley Cooper were all approached for this new film as well, but each turned the role down. Evans had a packed schedule due to his role in the upcoming Dracula and his promotion obligations for The Hobbit, but the production start date was just pushed to next year to secure him as lead.
