Today is the first official day of Internet Week NY 2013 and things are off to a great start. Held in the heart of the city at the Metropolitan Pavilion, there are a number of panels, keynotes, interactive classroom sessions and discussions taking place over the course of the next few days. The digital summit is expected to attract over 20,000 Internet enthusiasts.

This year's content will be "dedicated to areas such as tech’s impact on fashion & beauty, food, and music, in addition to our mainstay focus on advertising, media, and marketing," a statement on the site read.

BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti, Facebook's Randi Zuckerberg, Wordpress founder Matt Mullenweg, and Vice's Shane Smith are all scheduled to speak.
