Don't smoke weed before you commit a crime, as there's a strong chance you might do something remarkably stupid. Two Fresno, CA robbers were easily apprehended by police after one of them accidentally butt dialed 911 as they laid out their stoned robbery plan. Worse, Nathan Teklemariam and Carson Rinehart had a lengthy conversation about their intentions to get high.
The dispatcher continued to listen to the conversation after the mention of marijuana, eventually learning that they were committing a crime. This included the sound of a window breaking and their reaction to finding prescription drugs. After they left, the dispatcher passed their location along to police who pulled them over.
Police searched the vehicle and discovered the stolen drugs and other assorted stolen material. They were charged with possession of stolen property, burglary and conspiracy. Needless to say, they were shocked when they learned how they were caught.
