Yesterday, the FDNY had to rescue an NYPD cop who climbed a tree to rescue a cat. How embarrassing. Dane Natto ascended a tree before a crowd of elementary school students to rescue the stranded kitty who kept scurrying away from him. Once he got to be about 30 feet into the air, he realized there was no way in hell he was getting down on his own.
In between laughing at him, Natto's partner called the FDNY to get him out of the tree. Dispatchers reportedly asked him to repeat the scenario several times because they simply couldn't believe it. When firefighters arrived, they had a good laugh before finally saving the cat, then Natto.
He'll be the butt of FDNY and NYPD jokes for a while.
