AMC's everyman meth chronicle Breaking Bad, which will begin its final season this August, is slated for a resurrección. The tale of a high school chemistry teacher who becomes a drug dealer to support his family after he discovers he's dying of cancer will be adapted for Univision, the biggest Spanish-language TV network in the States. Sí, puta.
Not so fast. Sony, who owns Breaking Bad, reported that it had made no such deal with Univision, though a Spanish-language pilot for the remake, entitled Metastasis, has been shot.
The future of Metastasis remains in limbo.
