Antsy Airplane Passenger Restrained with Shoelaces

So much for "flying the friendly skies."

Yesterday, an Alaska Airlines flight from Alaska to Portland, OR was disturbed by a man who made his questionable statements seem even more questionable by reportedly trying to open one of the airplane doors. His fellow passengers were forced to take matters into their own hands, restraining him with seat-belt extensions and shoelaces.

As the plane descended towards Portland, 23-year-old Alexander Michael Herrera began the strange ramblings before quickly graduating to hissing noises and full-on screaming. The other passengers were not having that, subduing him with a chokehold and pinning him to the ground.

Herrera was arrested by FBI agents once the plane landed and charged with interfering with a flight crew.
